Scam Avoidance School

Santander’s Scam Avoidance School, otherwise known as the SAS, is a unique lesson designed to equip you with the skills you need to spot the signs of some of the most common scams and protect yourselves from falling victim to fraud.
Santander will be holding a free local event for people of all ages to attend on Tuesday 5th June 2018 at the 2nd Carlton Colville Scout Headquarters, Rectory Road, Carlton Colville. Starting at 10.30am. The event will last about 1 ½ hours in total. Refreshments will be provided.
The event will cover the following scams and provide you with top tips on how to protect yourself against these scams.
• Social engineering
• Phishing
• Smishing
• Scam emails and texts
• Cashpoints
Where possible will look to provide you with support on other areas of concern within the banking industry; however we will not be answering questions regarding personal banking transactions and enquiries.
